It's Sunday...again...
Do you dread the week ahead? Or are you excited about a fresh week? I personally love a new week. On Sunday's I like to get my house picked up and start thinking about my week ahead. As mom's, I think we have a constant checklist running through our head. Somehow it seems it's our job to make sure everyone has everything they need. My mental list has failed me a few times this weekend... I have forgotten to buy bagels the two separate times I have been to the grocery store. I guess an actual paper or virtual list would be better huh?
Here are some tips for starting your week off on the right foot...
Plan your priorities. When are you going to workout? When are you going to have family time? What are you having for dinner? Block these things out on your calendar because we all know if it doesn't get scheduled, it won't get done!
Schedule your commitments. Block out your work schedule, when you're picking up kids, driving them to practice, etc. I think where most people get hung up is not realizing where they are actually spending their time. This is why people run late, forget to eat, etc... and all it does it leaves you feeling stressed! Block out everything!
Make sure you have a plan for your week of meals. Do things need to be bought, do things need to be thawed or chopped? What would make your week easier?
Spend some time resting! Take a bath, read a book, or sit in the sun! Let yourself relax!
Talk with your spouse about your goals for the week and ask them to support you and see you accountable! This is so important! We are better together!!
